Hi Hub
Since you are looking all over, I'll pitch in and post this video that has stuck in my mind ever since I saw it.

I like it, but here are the only two I like from Omega.

Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Co-Axial GMT Titanium GoodPlanet
Speedmaster Moonwatch Co-Axial Dark Side of the Moon

Nice choices. I would have loved to get a Snoopy when new.

Hi FlyDuc78,

Between the calibre 17 and the telemeter. I will choose the calibre 17.

But your selection now expanded, and i would like to throw in some of my opinion if you dont mind.

The tudor. What can i say. Its a nice watch. Have a nice reviews. But when i saw one in steel, i dont feel its for me. The thing about that watch is, its always looks great in photos. But when i tried it. I dont really like it. Something about the finishing puts me off. This is of course just my personal opinion. No offense intended.
Usually almost 90% of the watch i saw on internet or magazine that got me interested always looks better in real steel. But i just dont find it with this watch.

Now between omega seamaster and the moonwatch. I will choose the moonwatch between that two. I dont buy the whole "first watch in the moon" thing. But its just the model i like. If i have to choose between omega range. I will choose speedmaster (3 subdials model). Now if you compare omega and the calibre 17 (or telemeter) you will find a significant price gap. I dont really think its worth it to buy omega now. But if you really like it then i dont think the price matter.

There are another option. You can check zenith elprimero. Its a really nice watch with a nice movement. The price is also between the range

Just my 2 cents of course

Good luck on your next purchase

Picture please after you made it !

By the way, if anyone dont mind. I want to share what i am aiming next. Its really a nice design in my opinion.

Its either longines or chopard. Both are similar but very different price

I like the chopard minute marker as it is with arabic numeral instead of baton and the dial is not flat like longines

Price gap is huge though

I'm going to mix things up and suggest that if the price of a NEW Telemeter is your budget, then if you venture into the secondhand market, you could pick up a TAG Siffert AND a Tudor Black Bay Sub for around the same money.
And that's at retail. Take your time at auction and you may end up with enough change for a new F1 (for that new watch smell)

I looked seriously at the Tudor Black Bay a couple of years ago. It's a very nicely finished watch and well worth the money, and despite it being a bit on the large side, actually fitted OK on my somewhat smaller wrist. However, I decided to go with the vintage Tudor option in the end and I have never regretted that choice. I think I'd have got bored of the Black Bay and sold it by now, but I still have the Sub.

I notice that you like the "heritage" look with a touch of colour and modern... I would go for the 5111, of course after trying it on the wrist.
I like the black bay, but just the steel one with red bezel. I would buy it with both stainless steel bracelet and leather "vintage-look" strap.

I also like the 2017 TAG Heuer Autavia which is why I set myself up for 3 months so I can see it been revealed at the Baselworld 2017.

Cool watch but I don't know if I want to go vintage.

The CV5111. Looking at your taste in watches throughout this thread, the Telemeter is something that will get you buyer's remorse.
Don't misunderstand me, its a fantastic watch. But the first option is more to your taste, I believe.

If you are patient enough though. There is another option in 2017...

Of course i am talking about Autavia Heuer 2017 !

Heuer 03 movement with very seductive price

Still need to see one in steel or at least the photo of its final production but it is a potential possibility

But the price for it is so high that makes no sense right now. I'll just keep an eye out for it and maybe one day I will.

I have to agree with you that this thread has helped me decided which one of the two Carreras I'll get - CV5111.
