The Autavia’s will use a Calibre 5 movement and it will not be COSC.

I can’t see any Autavia’s on the UK site? All I’ve been told is they won’t be COSC, but will still be in the same price bracket as the Black Bay.

·You can’t find them via the menu but searching in google with the watches ref nrs will reveal the watches on the Tag Heuer site. I saved the images as I suspect Tag Heuer might close that loophole. These might be embargoed so I won’t post any photos here.

·Are the cosc ones any more reliable than the regular calibre 5? Theres been quite a few reported failures where they cannot be hand wound and only wind through movement?
This or a black bay...the BB is so much better finished, although tudor have had a bunch of issues with the gmt movement.

·Was debating the black bay 58 versus this Autavia. Tudor does a great job in their finishes. But looking at them both in person, the Autavia really stands out compared to the BB 58.
Completely disagree, but each to their own. I personally don’t think you can find a better looking, and value for money watch right now than the BB58.

From a dive perspective, I prefer the BB 59 to Rolex Submariner. Prefer the gilt dial and think it looks classier yet just as sporty.

Yes, there won't be anymore Isograph, as we all know it. The technology is up for review. The future doesn't look good though.
I asked whether or not it will be Calibre5 chronometre grade, they said it it will most probably will be.
But anyway, once this Isograph thing is blown up by wacthloggers, it will be the centre of the storm...

·I’ve been told the Autavia will be “re-released” early next year, with a standard Calibre 5 movement. There will be a price reduction of a couple hundred pounds (will still have a RRP of a few hundred £s more than the Carrera Calibre 5) and that is it. The carbon hairspring will not be used as there is difficulty in keeping the frequency when paired with the Calibre 5. This is why there is no issue with the Nanograph as it has been used with TAG Heuer’s in-house movement.
While it may be difficult in keeping the frequency, I have 2 that are performing great. One is +2 seconds consistently and other is +3 seconds consistently. Maybe I just got lucky, but it doesn't seem impossible for the these carbon hairsprings to be paired with the Caliber 5. Perhaps they realized it was just too difficult and expensive to mass produce these at COSC, but they could still afford to put them in a $25,000 Nanograph Tourbillon.
