but true color would be “dark silver”

Albert's own photo submissions.
I rest my case. It's grey, not silver.
Maybe we need to summon the Counsel as jury for this matter. Declaring a watch not a silver dial should be done with caution.
It's the same for my Monaco Gulf Grey. It can look silver-ish, it can also look almost black. But any watch that can look so dark, I can not classify as a true silver. If others want to call it silver, that's fine, but it's not silver to me.

After looking over many photos here, I still stand with my original decision.
I think it is safe to include it into the "who is the king of the Silver dial" comp.
JOMO- but in my eyes, especially just pouring over some of those sexy photos of Albert's, I crown it MY King of the Silver dial.
You have an incredibly beautiful piece of Art there Albert.
I'm very jealous as I passed one of these up a few years ago and always regret it.

Which also looks grey, just say'n (j/k). 😉
I adjudged that the Senna 6000 is not a “true” silver. But a “dark silver” Can be gray/grey at times but mostly it is a non-metalic shade (non shiny) Being said, it can not be a silver. TAG Heuer also made dials dubbed as “silver” but were obviously more of white dials. 😵💫
The truest silver is the “Carrera 160 Silver” 👍
Agree. But now you're getting technical. Metallic Grey and Dark Silver are basically synonymous. I have several starburst grey dialed watches, I'm not sure if I'd call them metallic, but they are shiny & silvery, and not flat. Regardless, I don't consider them to be Silver. I simply say grey in the broader sense. Again, that's just me.
Sorry what I meant was grey being non-metallic. In any case, “silver” has always been metallic. Spoons and forks (silverware) and bare metal were always called “silver” 👍
Yes that's what I thought you meant. But when I say "grey", I'm using the term broadly to include both metallic and non-metallic finishes. For example, the Monaco Vintage Grey CAW211B. It actually has a slightly metallic finish, yet it's referred to as grey by TAG Heuer.
I can make it look silver-ish too and call it dark silver. But TAG Heuer calls it grey.
