It's the lighting that Albert used to make it look silver-ish. This pic is closer to the true color.

😁 No, this is not the true color. Here is looking darker than usual because of the picture conditions, but true color would be “dark silver” 😉... this dial changes a lot depending on the light and angle, so these pictures could be an “average” color:

Maybe we need to summon the Counsel as jury for this matter. Declaring a watch not a silver dial should be done with caution.

Albert's own photo submissions.

I rest my case. It's grey, not silver.
😁 I was looking for the most “dark side” of the dial in these pictures, but it’s not its usual look.
As I said, this dial changes a lot depending on light and angle, and it can go from dark grey to silver just by turning the wrist a little... so we could say it's a multi-color dial, including silver! 😜

It's the same for my Monaco Gulf Grey. It can look silver-ish, it can also look almost black. But any watch that can look so dark, I can not classify as a true silver. If others want to call it silver, that's fine, but it's not silver to me.

I agree. When I posted the pictures here, I told that this was my most “silvered dial” watch, I didn’t say it was silver.

It can look silver sometimes, but not always... and I like it that way, I like how this dial changes 🥰 much more than if it were always silver 👍

After looking over many photos here, I still stand with my original decision.
I think it is safe to include it into the "who is the king of the Silver dial" comp.
JOMO- but in my eyes, especially just pouring over some of those sexy photos of Albert's, I crown it MY King of the Silver dial.

You have an incredibly beautiful piece of Art there Albert.
I'm very jealous as I passed one of these up a few years ago and always regret it.

Thank you very much @heuerholic ! 😀 👍

It’s my favourite watch of my humble collection. If I had to choose only one, it would be the 6000 Senna, and for this reason it is in my avatar 😀

That's fine buddy; Silver King for you, but not me.

I can not give that award to a watch which I don't believe is a true silver watch, even though it is a super sexy "silver-ish" watch in certain lighting. I'd rather the award go to a true silver watch, that looks silver all the time. That's a true Silver King, not one that can turn grey at the flick of a wrist.

Which also looks grey, just say'n (j/k). 😉
True, it was not the best shot of it! Now the avatar is fixed! 😁

@Albert-AMG , just to be clear, I have no objection to your watch being in this thread. I have no objection if some want to classify it as a kind of silver.

My point with @heuerholic was that for me, it simply isn't a true pure bred Silver, as you also agree. It's really a grey that can sometimes look silver-like. Hence for that reason, I can't call it the Silver King, as I feel that title is more deserving for a watch that is a true Silver. But that's just me.

Now if the question was which watch is the Senna King, your 6000 could easily get my vote! 😀

I adjudged that the Senna 6000 is not a “true” silver. But a “dark silver” Can be gray/grey at times but mostly it is a non-metalic shade (non shiny) Being said, it can not be a silver. TAG Heuer also made dials dubbed as “silver” but were obviously more of white dials. 😵‍💫

The truest silver is the “Carrera 160 Silver” 👍

Agree. But now you're getting technical. Metallic Grey and Dark Silver are basically synonymous. I have several starburst grey dialed watches, I'm not sure if I'd call them metallic, but they are shiny & silvery, and not flat. Regardless, I don't consider them to be Silver. I simply say grey in the broader sense. Again, that's just me.

Sorry what I meant was grey being non-metallic. In any case, “silver” has always been metallic. Spoons and forks (silverware) and bare metal were always called “silver” 👍

Yes that's what I thought you meant. But when I say "grey", I'm using the term broadly to include both metallic and non-metallic finishes. For example, the Monaco Vintage Grey CAW211B. It actually has a slightly metallic finish, yet it's referred to as grey by TAG Heuer.

I can make it look silver-ish too and call it dark silver. But TAG Heuer calls it grey.

Also, in the article that Albert shared with us when he got his Senna 6000, it refers to the dial color as charcoal - another synonym for grey. 😀

Glad this could all be sorted out 😎

Albert's 6000 is an incredible watch that can look silver isch but not a silver dial.

Now my hunt for more sexy silver dial photos shall continue!
