You'd think, but the side bevel of the lugs angles down sharply and with that wide bezel it wears more like a 38mm, and it works really really well. I first tried one on at the GS boutique near Harrod's on a business trip, and I was truly surprised.
Of course lug to lug is important, but with these style of watches, how big it looks on the wrist also depends on the size of the dial. With no bezel, there can be a tendency to make the dial too big. This doesn't look too bad - would have to see it in person or at least a proper wrist shot really.
The only thing I've always disliked on GS is the date disks. Something about the look of those numbers just look cheap
In 2018 I was sooo tempted to buy the SBGT241. Went to try it on over and over, shocked how incredible it looked and wore. Couldnt afford anything at that time though since the ex wife had just stolen my stock portfolio and life savings... Still think about this one from time to time though. Posting this I realize I've been a silver dial fanatic for longer than I knew myself! Photo by Time&Tide
Sounds smart. Same for me. I bought half of my own house a second time to be allowed to stay in it...
Another one worthy to be admired in this thread is of course the CBH2210. There was one used for sale about a year ago, day after I logged on to buy and it was sold. Of course...
I would Dub @Albert-AMG 6000 Senna as the king of the silver watch faces. That CBH2210 Carrera Is a contender for simply the best Heuer watch ever! My addition to the silver ( maybe grey) watch faces.
Sorry, as much as I love Albert's watch, it's not a true silver to me. It's really a grey that can look silver-ish in the right lighting. Hence, it's a nice try, but disqualified in my book for the King of Silver competition.

Im leaning more towards anthracite or grey that only appears silver in some parts when light hits the dial
