Rob, I think perhaps you're confusing the two.
This is wording I remember so yes you are correct.

·The only reason j came across them was because I was trying to work out what the difference between the CAR2A50 and CAR2A60 was... the second one being a misquoted number by A Blog to Watch, only one watch existed. The only way I found that out was asking a contact at TH who could check the computer...

·In re-reading the old Cal 1969 thread, I see you had one in your hands at the 5th Ave Boutique and passed. I bet you're sorry you didn't buy it when you had the chance! Reminds me of the time I passed on a Rolex Daytona! 🤦
I wasn't nearly able to afford it back then otherwise I'd have bought it, even though I had no idea it'd be cancelled 🙁 I think list price was $15k or so
My real deeper dive into watch collecting started a year later in 2015 when my career started to gain legs 😀

This article suggests the Heuer 02T is based on the CH80 movement... also, I find it surprising that the Heuer 01 cand the Heuer 02T came out almost at the same time... 2015.

·Heuer02 is based on CH80 (which was previously Calibre 1969). It can be reworked and be modified to have a Tourbillon.
Heuer01 is basically Calibre 1887. TH’s executives & marketing saw it fitting to rename TAG Heuer’s “in-house” movements both at the same time thus we have Heuer01 and Heuer02 in 2015 (JC Biver Era)
