Slightly behind the news, but after playing catch up with Drive2Survive on Netflix (& previously not been a F1 fan) now really enjoying it.

Whilst I was aware at the time of the controversy between Lewis/ Max, Mercedes/ Red Bull in the race finale of 2021, I now fully (to a degree) understand. Whilst my personal dislike of Red Bull (apart from TH) and finding Max (arrogant) no denying his talent and reminds me of Schumacher.

I cannot believe TH haven't jumped on to producing a Verstappen watch (yes always sports a Monaco) but thought from a PR & Marketing ploy - the orange F1 would've been a hit.

Ha my bad, guess the blue/ orange one works. Although surely him winning WDC could'ce meant a specific watch to celebrate that achievement - feels like a missed opportunity personally.

Maybe the rights to use him name on a watch became much more expensive after his WDC win?

Possibly, but with their increase in RRP maybe they can afford it! ha

Guess the release a 'Senna' watch still or did, so thought a Max watch also would be announced.

Although I think I have read somewhere Max likes to wear Rolex in his spare time, so maybe not the best brand ambassador

My guess is Max has reached a point whete he is now able to say F that, I don't want my name on any poor man watches like TAG Heuer. He will wear the watches when forced by contract, for example directly after a race for interviews or for marketing photo shoots.

I was thinking about the orange one yesterday! God I wish I owned that one, was it limited to like 200 pieces right? Such a splendid version of the F1

Agree 100%, I would have loved to see a WDC piece and surely it would have sold very well. Just look at the awesome orange army invading the F1 races, Max's fanbase is huge at the moment!

But how many of them are willing to spend £5000+ on a watch, just because it's got Max's name on it? Better to make 5,000 quartz F1s and sell them in Skipol Airport.
