Out of those 2, the case on the second looks slightly sharper. It seems to be a lot more expensive though?

Thank you for the response. How are the originality and condition on both?

Also, would the "tropical dial" on the 1153 scare you off?

Originality seems to be good from what I can see-nice to have the cal. 11 in there too. Conditions are so-so on each-cases are 'OK'. Note the dial is not great on the first one. The tropical sub-dials on the other are a very personal choice. As you ask-for me it comes down to price. I would expect to pay less than a non-tropical dial for one of these. (come on, they're not Rolex or Omega! (yet!)) I would hope there's room for negotiation on either.
Best, Steve

Thank you for the info! Do you think crown is original on the 2444? Also, the price on the 1153 is $4800 usd and price for 2444 is $3600 usd. WHich would you prefer on these terms?

Am I missing something? These are both 1153 right? I know that model variations and movements don’t always add up but a calibre 11 in 1972? I’m sure @SteveP will have a swell explanation for it 🙄

Not familiar with the 2444, although you’re right, that crown has a different colour.
I’m surprised how expensive those 1153s are on C24.

You are most certainly correct, they are both 1153s. My Mistake. Below is the 2444 that I am looking at.

Never heard about this shop. Their watches do look sharp…
But the prices for what are mostly relatively unspectacular dresswatches… 👎

Go figure:
2.2k for an Eterna Centenaire, 1.3k for a 50s Doxa, min. 2k for any IWC, 3.7K for a Polerouter (maybe a very rare model?) 😵‍💫 Makes the Pre-Carrera almost look like a bargain…

In your opinion what is the condition and originality of Pre-Carrera? I can't tell for sure, but think the crown and pushers are after market. I've negotiated price to $3500 usd.
