I truly believe the two are a fantastic combination!

Iconic Porsche Carrera x Iconic TAG Heuer Carrera. ::love::

A wee aside, at last weekends BTCC meeting the second Porsche Cup race was excellent, if you like Porsche and racing it’s worth watching the reruns, Itv4 maybe.

Pretty unlikely JH wouldn’t have known about the Carrera name of Porsche. Of course he’ll claim he got it from the race as Porsche did. Speculation of course.

Is that from a video game?

My preferred livery for a Heuer/TAG Heuer Porsche. :p

This is my endurance/rally inspired 911 which I've owned since 2005. Its evolved quite a lot since then.

    Stuttgart connection ;)

Yes, the Mercedes-Benz 500 E (E 500 when facelifted) W 124 was made with Porsche participation. The car traveled twice between the two factories during its -expensive- manufacturing process, and Porsche (where previously assembled the 959) made the craft work to adapt the W 124 body (engine bay, transmission tunnel, exhaust, suspensions, axles, wheel arches...) to the 5000cc V8 engine (326 HP) requirements

I owned a 500 E during many years, before switching to my current C 55 AMG (W 202), and I still love it ::love:: What a great car!

It was a lot of fun (and tyre burner :whistling:) when I turned off the traction control :D

    Sub-7 in the Nordschleife for a regular 992 GT3 ! ::psy::

Probably even more insane lap time for the Weissach package GT3

Faster than Niki Lauda in the championship winning Ferrari 312T? (Probably not, the Ring of today is not the same Ring of 1975.)

I watched the official video of Porsche for the sub 7 minute lap run of the 992 GT3. There were two times taken simultaneously depending on the length of the run ;) wiki holds some interesting data also  (click me)

I was just joking around when I brought up the Lauda comparison. But in fact, Lauda's record of 6:58.6 on the old Ring (which was longer at 22.810 km/14.173 mi) is faster than the new 992 GT3's 6:59:93 on the current Ring (20.832 km/12.944 mi). Still, each new generation of GT3, GT3RS & GT2RS is getting faster & faster and more impressive.

However, I still prefer the looks of the 991.2 GT3RS over the new 992 GT3.

I wonder if the 992 GT3RS will also have an open rear fender intake often seen in the 991 GT3 RS, Turbos, Caymans/Boxsters ::confused2::

From afar, most Carreras all look quite the same :D:p

Had to test uploads after the server config changes so figured I would post some shots of my 991 C2S, it was unfortunately stolen only about two months after I bought it and though the damage was minor and superficial it took a long time to arrange the parts and repairs so it’ll probably be ready late March or early April. Until it was taken it was my daily driver and a surprisingly good family car for the kids in the back, can’t wait to enjoy it again.

Also note: hide your keys within your home, thieves can’t steal cars anymore to they break into your house and take the keys off the kitchen bench or bedside table. I’ve now got a far better hiding spot plus some security upgrades about to be installed that will render it useless even with the keys.
