Lauda became WC in 84, beating Prost by a half point. Lots of racing history in that engine. Prost won the last two races and was awarded 9 points for each. Lauda came in second at the last race in Estoril and scored the needy 6 points to win the WC. Let’s hope the closing of the current championship will prove to be as exciting.

It's the championships that are super close that become the stuff of legend. I barely remember Lauda's '75 & '77 championship campaigns, but his championship lost to Hunt in '76 by 1 point and '84 comeback championship by 1/2 a point are forever in my memory.

That TAG Turbo 911 is very cool. Its looks are similar to Ruf, especially the wheels.

Thinking about the base Taycan as my everyday driver given all the tax credits here in the U.S. Plus we have superchargers at my office so I can top off the battery charge easily.

I ordered the grand turismo a couple of weeks ago 😉
Will only be delivered in August though 😵‍💫
I test drove the base Taycan and was very impressed. Great handling, comfort and speed. Nothing like the model S. In another league.
