On November 11, 2017, the Phillips Heuer Parade Auction will be held in Geneva at the auction house’s normal stomping grounds, the Hotel La Reserve. The auction features 42 vintage Heuers from the collection of Crosthwaite & Gavin and one new TAG Heuer Autavia. The new piece is being presented in honor of Jack Heuer’s 85th birthday and will be auctioned for charity.

I watched most of it live; I missed the first few lots (so the 1153N that I wanted to follow - that went for a strong price). I was surprised the 1153S (lot 12) didn't get more interest...

26 lots sold for more than the high estimate and just 2 for less than the low. Here is a cleaned up copy of the result

First reaction is that it was a good set of results, without being a set of results that redefined the market- but maybe that's too high a threshold to set.

A few surprises (e.g. 1153N Carrera) and the 70s Autavia results were flat-ish.

Overall, I'm sure the guys are happy

Interesting commentary. I watched the auction live and was also surprised the Chronomatic Autavia didn't sell for a bit more. That would have been my choice. But spot on about the GMT Autavia though - super condition watch. Now where's my lottery ticket?
