Collected my watch two days ago. Very disappointed. Also purchased two straps, red and green to go with the blue on the watch. On a positive note the boxing is magnificent on those straps, I would dare to write the boxes cost more than the rubber straps do to manufacture? The boxing on the straps is OTT!
Wear OS is exactly why I switched to Tizen some years ago. We are told Wear 2 OS has many more apps than Tizen. Though this may be the case I am at a total loss to find this plethora of apps for our Connected 45?
A lot of my present critique may be due to
owners initial ignorance, I don't know, I just find the OS on this watch totally boring in comparison with my Samsung gear 3. Before I get flamed I am
not comparing the watches. Though my Gear 3 is very well made from good quality materials its not in the same league as the Connected 45.
Ownership of the Tag Heure is rather exclusive and that alone makes it stand out from any other smart watch.
There are obvious problems with owning a smart watch. Technology moves at such a staggering pace our TAG is already well out of date, no heart rate sensor, compass nor rotating bezel or crown, no speaker. From the off we are at a grave disadvantage to other smart watches because of this limitation.
Wear OS was specifically designed to work with rotating bezels or other such mechanical actions.
I was determined to purchase this watch and just new I would feel buyers remorse. Serves me write. I feel my Samsung Gear 3 with its Samsung health app knocks the spots of the Tag Heure, plus at 400...€ I can replace the watch with every new iteration, this will not be the case with the TAG. At present I am wearing both watches, one on each wrist. Bloomin absurd! lol
I am very afraid the positives to ownership of this particular smart watch are vastly outweighed by its negatives. Only have myself to blame though. Did my home work so new what I was buying!
