Thanks! Tapping continuously on the system update menu triggered the download. 😀 (as usual)

i just updated watch and IOS app. At first glance, a big improvement for me! My contacts from the iPhone synced straight away, an issue i had been having for quite some time and never got it resolved. Also google fit on the app works like a charm and i really like the notification settings in the app. I can't be bothered by not being able to change the faces via the app. Never used that feature anyways.

Me very happy!

iPhone 7 - Yep and me 1st time I have ever seen my contacts on my watch with out using some 3rd party app, So if Google had the ability not sure why Android didnt

Is anyone having any issues with pairing the 45 with their iPhone? I notice the watch was barely staying connected to the phone, wouldn't re-connect unless I restarted it and then its began to lag really bad and restart itself. So I reset the watch and when I tried to pair it again the wear OS app tells me to go to the iPhone settings to un-pair the watch from the phone however when I do that the iPhone does not show it as being pair to begin with.

so at this point I have a really expensive paper weight. The watch is on the latest update and so is the phone. 🤬🙁

Thanks

Take it to a dealer. So many of us have iPhones and personally, in my near 9 months of ownership, I've never had connection issues. There has to be something up.

I've never had any issues - the people at the jewelry store are clueless. They aren't equip to trouble shoot this.

Mines been back to Tag on other warranty related issues and they checked the connectivity and said it was fine.

The connection to 3 iPhones during the past 12 months has been so intermittent, so it can’t be the phone hardware.

I’ve updated the iOS version today (this normally solves certain issues for a small amount of time), reset the phone/watch connection and it still won’t connect.

Last resort is another factory reset, but I’m fed up now with having to reinstall apps, android pay cards, watch maker faces etc, every time the watch doesn’t want to connect.

It’s definitely put me off Tags for life.

I've reset the watch several times. Same issue.

I am sorry to hear that. I haven't had any connection issues with my iPhone 8. Has been working like a charm since the first pairing.

Many of us purchase our TAGs via local jewellers who have no technical knowledge around smart watches etc, they sell jewellery including watches. We do no all live next door to a TAG boutique , taking it to the shop we purchased from is useless. Just as well ask at the local pet store.

Secondly there are still many on this group who suggest they have no issues with iPhone / TAG partnership, another frustrating pointless remark, great well done your lucky you've never had a issue. Most people have .

Personally my experience has been poor, however I have had the best 3 or for days since the various updates from google etc, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

agree 100%.
I was able to pair the watch with a different iPhone. Apparently since I had it previously paired with my current iPhone no matter how many times I reset the watch or clear network settings on my iPhone, the iPhone seems to believe its still paired from the old time BUT it doe not show it under the Bluetooth setting so I un-cant pair it to then trayand re-pair it.

Weird. Did you try uninstalling the Wear OS app on your iPhone?

Yes, several times.

Last option I will have to try is to reset my iPhone completely. But I fear that the moment I restore from my backup I will have the same issue.

For everyone experiencing iOS connectivity issues, give this a try. I thought I’d try once again resetting the phone back to factory and starting over, but I ended up back in the same boat (no connection), or the process got stuck on the phone sending details to the watch.

I tried a mountain of things (over 2 hours messing about), and eventually (touch wood), this has worked:

On the Wear OS app (or Android Wear if not updated), in advanced settings, click on disconnect Tag Heuer. This should disconnect your watch and kick it into a factory restore status.

Whilst the watch is loading, open up your settings and click Bluetooth. Click the little “I” next to the Tag Heuer entry and forget the device.

Now make sure you then update to the latest iOS version (currently iOS 11.3).

Physically remove the Wear OS/Android Wear app from your phone (don’t just update, it doesn’t work properly. When I deleted my app and downloaded again, I got a brand new interface, even though the previous version said it was the latest one).

Reboot phone.

Re-download the Wear OS app from the App Store.

Back to the watch now which should have restored. Select your language and basic options then when prompted, open up the Wear OS app on your phone and follow the prompts until your phone has paired and your Google account details have been sent across (mine failed 3 times at this point whilst doing various other tasks, but I’m assuming if you follow the process as above, this should work first time).

When all ready, ensure you open the Play Store on your watch, swipe down and select my apps.

Update any which need updating. Check that the following list of apps are now installed and fully updated on your phone, if any are missing, download them:

Connected Tag Heuer
Google
Google Fit
Google Pay
Tag Heuer Connected Apps
Wear OS by Google smartwatch
Google handwriting input

Now check to see if your watch is connected to your phone and everything is working as intended.

Good Luck !!

Mine wasn’t connected, but you should still have the option to disconnect and reset watch.

If you’ve never had it connected, then there’s a bigger problem.....

I've reset the watch over a dozen times. still same issue. I think the problem is with the iPhone, the iPhone still believes its paired with the watch from the first time I had it working. So when I go to the Bluetooth setting to unpair it so I can repair it the watch does not show, so I cannot unpair.
