With the latest WearOs on iPhone and watch, I don’t have any disconnections any more. The iOS app can also trigger a reconnection procedure !
Great job

Hi my Connected has stopped screen locking when I remove the watch from my wrist. Any idea how to resolve this?
My concern is my contactless cards are linked to watch so could be a nightmare if watch was stolen and wasn’t locked.

Mines intermittent - it has been from day 1. Sometimes you need a pin, sometimes you don’t. The OS is terrible on this watch.

When it went for a warranty repair, Tag said it was working as designed and they couldn’t find an issue.....

Hi everyone
What’s the best android app for designing your own watch face?

This is what I see in the new iOS Wear OS app on my iPhone. I am running 11.2.6 on the phone and the watch was hard reset (holding down the button and sliding your finger from the 11 to 5 on the dial, then clearing cache and resetting and then rebooting and adding back into the app). The watch is connecting better but it is really strange it does not show a pic of the watch.

I fear my Tag is now a paperweight!
I did a factory reset because the connection to my iPhone was really bad. After setting everything up (a few times, also with a hard reset), I always get stuck at the download of the Wear OS Update on the watch (it says „waiting for download“, but nothing happens). I cant do anything with the watch because the only screens I can see are the Playstore and the Settings menu, but no Dials or anything else..-

Has somebody an idea?

I've noticed that this update hasn't been issued for the Android Wear app on my iPhone even though the app store shows the new version. I suspect it's because this issue is being worked on.

Is there a way to downgrade the firmware of the watch? the latest one added a very nasty delay between the brightness and the colours making it very distracting when you rise to wake.
Here is an example.
Latest firmware

Previous firmware

As you can see there's about half a second between brightness and colours appearing on the screen in the last firmware and i do not like that at all.

So is there a way to go back to the previous one?

Looks standard to me, you just have to except it, lol. That’s what you paid for

Your post makes no sense.. what looks standard? That one version works and the other one has a delay?

What does anything of what I said has to do with "what I paid for?"

There has always been a delay , ever since I had mine in November, everyone simply chooses to ignore it, people get pissy on here if you are slightly negative about the watch, mine has always had the delay and so has others who responded to the same post several weeks back. The fact is we have all purchased a poor smart watch but luxury brand end off. Don’t worry I will be slagged off for my comments as normal, but it won’t change my opinion. I will video mine and post tomorrow.
Oh and I have to vigorously twist my hand to show the display, you’ve got a good one !

Actually, I think I figured out what is happening. I shot 2 more videos, this time in slow motion.

From what I read in another thread, they changed the ambient light from 2 to 1.. so now, first the light goes from 1 to 2, then the colors appear.

The question now is, how do I increase the AOD to what it was before?

Actual I will take my comment back mine doesn’t delay as yours and have latest upgrade, however I certainly get mine to start as simple as yours, out of 10 attempts I’d say it illuminated 3 time, and my wrist is now fυcked.

I have 2.. one is the all black one, the other is the titanium brush.. one is updated to latest firmware, the other one is not.

But as I said, I found out why.. is the ambient light. AOD, in the most recent update, went 1 level lower. I guess to preserve more battery.

You can see clearly from the slow-motion videos that the ambient light changes to a higher level before the colors appear, while in the one that has a previous firmware the always on display is a lot brighter.

At least i know what it is now, its been driving me nuts for a week.

I did post how to do this in your "colours delay" thread. Myabe you missed it? How to do it depends on which particular bit of firmware is your root cause.

Oh yeah, I see your post.
It is indeed the android 8.0 that changed this.. it dimmed the always on display which in turn makes this delay happen.

One of my watches in on 7.1.1 and the AOD is a lot brighter as you can see from the video.

Oh well, ill have to turn off AOD, the delay is just very distracting.
Shame, this was the one thing android os had over apple watches.

i just updated watch and IOS app. At first glance, a big improvement for me! My contacts from the iPhone synced straight away, an issue i had been having for quite some time and never got it resolved. Also google fit on the app works like a charm and i really like the notification settings in the app. I can't be bothered by not being able to change the faces via the app. Never used that feature anyways.

Me very happy!
