·I tried that but they still don't show up on the watch...
Sorted, contacts showing on watch.
App I used is called contactstransfer, Just search App Store ‘contacts sync’ it’s the 3rd app on the list.
Open app, it asks you the normal stuff, then sync, you call see if it is, by all your contacts on the screen....when done, I re started watch and iPhone , when into contacts on watch, all contacts

Have you got the link to that please ? I think I’ve found it, but it wants me to pay £4 as I’ve got over 100 contacts....

·Sorted, removed my gmail account from the phone and re-added.
They didn’t display immediately, but were there after 5 mins or so.
Not sure what the benefit is on having them though to be honest as you can’t do anything with them & names still appear when calls/texts come through as they did before ?

I can’t see any benefits either tbh, texts are normal as usual , no added feature with the contacts section on the watch , I think they come up when u get a fone call, but you can’t answer the call on the watch

They came up anyway from a phone call, I just thought you’d be able to do something !!
I’ve not been able to connnect my watch to my iPhone for over a week, but the new iOS update seems to have resolved it (for now)...

·Yet again my Tag fails to connect to my iPhone 8 after the link keeps dropping out. The watch won't connect to either the android app or the bluetooth connection. I've rstarted the watch again - nothing. I've restarted the phone - nothing. I've deleted and reinstalled the app 6 times - nothing. I'm beginning to think this £1500 is a complete waste of money. Any ideas apart from resetting?

I was in the same boat mate, but paid £2650 🙁
I used to have to restart my watch daily for it to connect, but that stopped working a couple of weeks ago (it wouldn’t connect at all the to an iPhone 8+).
I updated the iOS version on the phone to 11.2.5 a couple of days ago & that seems to have sorted it out.
If you’ve not updated, give that a try.

i am not sure if i should buy this smartwatch or Not. The only reason for me to buy a smartwatch are the Custom Watch faces. I dont want to use any of the extra Features like notifications etc. I just want a luxury looking Watch. All other smartwatches on the market are ugly.
Is it possible to Chance watchfaces With the watchmaker on the modular45?
Can i disable all Features from android wear to improve battery life? How Long would it last?
Does the always on Feature work well? Do i have to Touch the Display to turn it on or is there another Option?
Is the Watch bright enough for sunny days?
Where Can i get custom Watch Parts? Couldnt find anything just the conplete Watch at the Tag Heuer Shop..

Seems a bit pointless for your needs, but it should do exactly what you want.
Yes you can chance faces with watchmaker.
You could turn off a load of the features, it lasts a good day with everything turned on, so you could possibly get 2+ with it all turned off (depends on your watch face, white drains the battery faster imo).
The always on feature isnt the actual face which is always on, it turns to the battery saver face mode of the face you’ve chosen (so it will dim and potentially change face until you look at it again). Staylit is a good app to use to keep the initial face on longer, it obviously will drain the battery quicker though.
You can turn your wrist to turn the face to the bright mode, but again, this doesn’t work very well imo & 75% of the time, I have to press the button to illuminate it.
I’m sure someone else can answer your other queries mate.

Outside readibility is definitely worse compared to the original Connected 46. It used a different kind of display, that could reflect external light like from the sun.
So, outside readibility on the 45 with the display on is ok, but when the watch is in its dimmed ambient mode, a quick glance without activating the display will be hard sometimes.

·If it weren't for enjoying the notifications, I wouldn't go for this watch over a mechanical. It's bright enough, but it's not even close to a mechanical. You'll get frustrated trying to turn it on or brighten it imo. This watch does a lot of things for me that I enjoy but I have to admit.....simply reading the time isn't its strong point.

·That was one of the things I liked about the 46. I recently had a Huawei Watch Classic and it was useless in sunlight. I have not tried my 45 in sunlight yet. We have about 270 days of rain each year, so I am guessing this is a bigger problem for some of you than it is for me...

·Does anyone get the charging watchface every time you charge your watch? I get it about 40% of the time. Not able to predict when I get it or not. Most often it will only display the lightning symbol on the regular watch face when i plug it in.

Mine appears randomly as well when in charge, it doesn’t happen every time.
