Not sure what people are doing to get a poor battery life. I recharge every night as at 10pm I only have ~45% left and it won't go a full day. My watch Alison only charges to 96%. I am running the watch on an iPhone, so only get notifications and use the watch to tell the time. I have not touch wifi as it turns on as required when I am at home and have not noticed a massive drop in battery life. I have not setup NFC as it does not work on Apple and have the google assistance also off.

I am worried about the 500 recharges, that sounds wrong as everyone will have to charge every day as you are very unlikely to get two days from a single charge.

I also like that the watch looks like a watch and change the watchface daily or depending on what I am going. Heading O/S I will run a GMT face to keep track of the time at home.

Overall very happy with the watch.

The whole topic of battery cycles is actually fairly complicated -- '500 recharges' would be a recharge from completely drained -- and as many of us have some battery life, you're not actually doing a full cycle when you charge from that.

Even after the 500 (or usually larger) number of complete cycles, the battery still runs at 80% capacity for another thousand or so cycles, until it has lower capacity (say 60%)

Bottom line, don't worry about this too much-- our watches won't stop working ... and in 2-3 years there will be something better anyway!

Has anyone experienced random restarts? The watch just restarts on its own. I've been having ok battery life until I switch it to Dev mode and yesterday the battery life was horrible..

Battery life for me has so far been Great, much better than anticipated after reading all the other comments before mine arrived. I have most of all the settings turned on, tilt to wake, GPS, nfc WiFi, Google assistant and do fiddle about with it a fair bit throughout the day (I mean it's hard not to really) and the battery easily lasts me the whole day and then some... I'll take the watch off charge in the morning around 7am and come 9pm I still have in excess of 40% left to which then I purposefully play about with it some more to go back on charge for the next day (don't currently have a spare charging puck and don't want it dying on me half way through the following day)

My only grumble is, that despite it lasting well for me, the watch only ever charges to 95%... I have tried detaching and reattaching as someone had previously suggested but still won't go any higher? Does anyone have any suggestions?

That hopefully will be fixed on the next software update.

Thank you for you comment. I have a quick question - If I go to bed and my battery shows 40% and I leave the watch on the charger until 7 am (full charge will be achieved in about an hour after the device hits the charge) am I overcharging/shortening the battery life? Your answer would be greatly appreciated as I am considering investing in a timed charger ($9 on amazon) that could start charging at 6 am instead. Thanks!

Doing the adb debug as described earlier fixes this.

Overcharging shouldn't happen. That should be a thing of the past now.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but I just noticed the iPhone battery drains alot quicker when using the connected. I wonder if that's the same on Android phones or if this is an ios android wear issue.

My Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge drains quicker when connected to the watch than it did before I had it. However, it doesn't drain at a rate that causes me any problems.

I don't think so. The charging circuit in the watch lowers the charge rate as you get closer to 100%.

It's part of the latest OS version build; previous releases got it as part of an OS update build.

Thanks Hubert... I just found it strange why it doesn't appear in the Connected app?

it does for me - make sure on the phone you add it to the line up when you scroll left or right.
