Took the sub off my wrist on Sunday evening, must have been around 11pm. Just picked it up again, been wearing the Monacourt all week, and it’s still running, pretty much on the second. That’s a little over 90h reserve.
You sound astonished… 😉

It’s funny, but I had written that elsewhere yesterday: All things in the marketplace considered, the update to Cal. 3230 almost comes “for free” these days and makes 3-hand Rolexes a rather compelling proposition.

I was surprised. In the meantime I heard and read it’s no exception. The actual power reserve significantly outperforms spec. On the downside you can’t hear the rotor spin.

Yeah that is very nice. Difficult to tell from the cartoon render but my silver dial sense is tingling strongly.

Is that one of your own or just tried it on?
Came across this pic on a local watchforum.

Good to hear. Thought it was another epic in your collection.

No, it's not my style: bezel is too wide and not find of the 1/10s chrono.

Also the A386 50th ann is my final piece.

Nice!

I am unsure which I like best presently, but think it might well be a Zenith for me next. No rush as haven’t put the cash away yet and not rushing into things.

The Defy is high on the list but also fancy a chrono, so open minded presently.

I tried on a Defy Skyline 36mm a week ago (I already knew the 41mm was too big) and liked the dark blue dial which didn't have the 1/10s subdial, but the height relative to the small size put me off. There are rumours of a Defy skyline Chrono so could be a win/win for you.

I like larger watches, despite only having a 6.5" wrist, so would be the 41mm I would look at in the Defy range. I also really like the 1/10s subdial, but I can see that it could be annoying seeing that whizz around long term. Skyline Chrono could indeed be a winner.

I am drawn to that 70's style integrated bracelet style, but I really like having a quick adjust on the clasp, so could be a non-starter as would end up with it on rubber full time if the bracelet was just right. I like the look on rubber, but it's the bracelet that is the draw. Do Zenith use a quick adjust on any of their bracelets?

I also saw this, which drew my eye. Not because of the deal for once, as didn't know it was on offer when I Google'd it for more pics.

Unsure if I would like to own a Skeleton, but do like that in fairness.

Not that I'm aware of, only upside with the Defy skyline is it has quick release and the rubber strap comes included.

Yeah - they're cheaping out on the bracelet... But I think this needs to go on a rubber anyway...
