Some interesting updates to Breitling Premier’s dropped today. The gold looks epic to me, despite not being my usual style:

What are peoples thoughts on the open heart style watches? They draw my attention when browsing but then wonder whether they would be annoying to own in the long run.

I ain’t gonna lie… I find this new Breitling Premier line-up pretty generic and I like the old ones much better. But I guess with Kern's Breitling it's: “If sales aren't there anymore, give it a revamp with the latest flavor of the day”…

My main grips are that it's just more of what we've already seen last year (though mainly in 40mm, IIRC) and that Im not the biggest fan of monochrome chronos.

I look down on people who wear open heart watches 🙄 amateur noob folk who bought their first mechanical and need to show that shit on the dial.

I hear you, but fascinated by the way stuff works. I am sure they get very boring very quickly though, and then feel exactly the way you put it.

I was browsing at Zenith and saw this on sale, hence intrigued by opinions of anyone who ever bought something similar. Not looking to buy myself.

This also caught my eye too. Rather nice in both Black and in Blue:

I tried that one on yesterday in the Longines boutique here in Geneva. Its nice, but you should probably have an 18cm or above wrist to pull it off properly. Plus: The colors proposed are a bit middle-of-the-road (IMHO).

I believe the real big sellers for Longines in 2023 will be the following 39mm declinations of existing models;

The Zulu Time ️ s a great looking watch too, I agree.

Ooh a 39mm no-date Legend diver could be excellent. I think the original 42mm is the right size but I do know the lugs on them are really really long.

I feel a religious war coming
No fun with only two factions, so I might stir it up with either the Fellowship of the Mighty (albeit Small) Pink Beasts or go rogue with the Church of the Opaline Dial.

Oh, and did Tudor just increase the prices of the black bay 36 with 25%

Gone in house, and now followed the BB S&G line (in design) older BB36 etc discontinued.

Bless your soul but do you think I am running some kind of champagne church here? What the hell.

Looks sexy though. But none of that in my church, you hear me.

I can't help it TH ruin the 3hand Carreras with a date & PCL bracelet on the 'grey man' or gold indices on the new 36mm.

39mm will be great, but loose those stars
