Oooft, that is very nice indeed. As close are we are ever going to get to a modern day Tudor Sub!

As @imagwai says, a blue version would be absolutely perfect.

Waaah, no left hand version with fauxtina.

i wonder if anyone has ever had 'foe' called Tina, and referred to her as Foe Tina? Just a thought...

Why no 36mm panda....?

😬
Exactly - they should have made it a panda, fitted a chronograph, copied the Carrera case and put it on a nice rally strap.

Seriously, though, blue would seem like a logical option given the larger version is available in both blue and black. No doubt we'll see it at some point.

I tried imagining what a blue Pelagos 39 would look like, and created a render:

They need to save other colors for future releases. 😜

Gotta save some hype for next year!

Watches and wonders in March no doubt! I like it a lot, but would have preferred in blue. I don’t need any more black watches really

Me too. But it depends on the shade of blue, I prefer the FXD's blue over the 42mm Pelagos's blue. Just my taste.

Think I'll probably pass now on the FXD (if I ever get the call), 39mm is more my size and the bracelet is a big plus over the FXD. But who knows, maybe instead of blue they'll release green or some other color next.

I like the look of this. I’ve hankered after a pelagos in the past, the LHD one (I’ve mentioned it here before i think) but for some reason could never quite pull the trigger. When I’ve tried the Pelagos on in the past, i remember thinking - hmmm is it just a little too big/thick….. and that dial is really VERY Matt……

This would address both elements for me. Looking forward to seeing it for real.

It does seem Tudor have a knack for actually gathering and then ACTING on customer insights to modify their product ranges. Quite impressed by the brand all round really.

Both this, the Ranger and the Panda chronograph don’t feel like watches Tudor would have made five or six years ago given how closely they mirror certain Rolex models (on the surface at least).

I think they are now a lot more comfortable giving the people what they want, as there is no danger of Tudor treading on the toes of Rolex at this point.

On the other hand, I suspect the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation is very keen that Tudor treads on the toes of Omega as much as possible…

First in the Line at 2 AD's for the Pelagos. Fingers crossed it's not too far off.
Will keep you guys posted if I get the call.

I have read that Tudor vs. Omega thought quite a bit over the last 24h. But if I’m being honest, I don’t think that Tudor - as far as brands steeped in history go - is anywhere close to Omega. So Omega is probably safe in banking on that aspect to maintain a price premium over Tudor.

I admit, however, that my judgement may be clouded by the fact that I happened to be at the Omega museum in Bienne last weekend… 🙄
