Had a very enjoyable day at the Geneva Motorshow yesterday and thought I'd post a few car photos for those interested. As you'd expect, the show is on a huge scale, and even though yesterday was a press preview day, the place was full. The only disadvantage of it being a preview day is that several brands still had their new toys under cloth, waiting for the launch press conference. Alfa's 4C Spider gets the updated (and much better) headlights. Here's another photo of...the car. Maybe not the rear end shot you were hoping for- actually, the 4C looks much better as a coupe. Mercedes showed off their F1 car... ...something from the past... ...and my favourite Geneva hatchback Ford also had a mixture of modern and retro. The GT40 Escort Mexico ...and the new Ford GT Ferrari hadn't yet unveiled the 488 GTB This is the crowd for a new Nissan release, so you can imagine what Ferrari would be like My first look at the new MX-5..somehow doesn't really work- tyres look too small. Still, will be great to drive VW's 3.0 Litre economy car ..and their latest hybrid OK, best until last- the McLaren stand And lastly, a couple of crowd shots- this is only one of the halls...
Awesome! Thank you for sharing this. I however find the lack of AMG GT3, Aventador SV and Koenigseggggggggg disturbing
Yeah, they hadn't taken the cloth off the GT3 yet. I did see the Aventador, but to be honest it didn't get my attention- all that effort for only 50 bhp and 50 kilos weight saving? Why bother?
Thanks for taking us to the show through your pictures David. Seems between the TG visit, the PALEXPO TH exhibit, and now the auto show itself, you had a worthwhile trip.
Thanks for the pics David! very nice. Chris Harris posted a pic of the Macca 675LT that you saw under wraps ;-) here's a link to his picture: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B_L6TD9WkAEdQsi.jpg:large interesting color. would love to see that up close and personal as I bet it looks less silver
Yes, THE colour at Geneva was this Blue/ Grey flat colour- lots of cars sported this shade. I've added another photo in your post
I've got a real soft spot for the MX-5, but the new one doesn't quite work. The good news is that Fiat will release their version of the MX-5 soon, to be called the 124. Designed by Alfa Romeo, but made in Japan could mean the best of both worlds
That will indeed be nice, a proper rear wheel drive Alfa again at last, even better if they retain an Alfa engine and exhaust with working Japanese electronics
It was going to be an Alfa, but they've changed their minds, so will have Fiat/ Abarth badges, design by Alfa, engines by Alfa/ Fiat but chassis by Mazda and made in Japan
Let's hope it works out better than last time Alfa collaborated with a Japanese manufacturer. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfa_Romeo_Arna
They need to collaborate with the Australians again IMO, the Giacattolo from the Alfa Sud Sprint was pure magic, imagine a Brera with a Corvette engine in the back seat.
