Been considering one of these as an addition. Based on my research the dial and bezel all looks correct to me, and I have asked for movement pics, but would appreciate any more expert commentary....
Yes, excellent reference site, and my main source of comparison, along with MWR. Just the movement pictures left to review.
What kind of money are these going for? I know Ludi's often posted pics of his (on a nicer strap than the one above though) and it looked great on the wrist
Based on my research, quite a wide range depending on the configuration. US$2500 - 4000ish depending on dial configuration, movement, and condition. They seem to be in the rise this year. Here is one that sold back in January on OF: http://omegaforums.net/threads/heue...ondition-with-copy-of-bundeswehr-manual.9546/ The strap on this one is on an original bund, and it had a documented service this year by Sinn Frankfurt, who had the service contract with the military for years.
That one does look to be in very nice condition. Interesting link to Sinn on these watches. While Heuer supplied the watch (it's based on a Leonidas design), Sinn had won the service contract. You can imagine how much Heuer were to see the watches coming out of service with a nice new dial that said "Sinn" instead of "Heuer"! There is also this very cool prototype Calibre 12 version- never made it into production unfortunately. This link at TZ is also quite helpful and informative http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?186871-REVIEW-Heuer-Bundeswehr-Massive-Modem-Burner dc
Always loved that Cal12 version ever since I saw you wearing it on the night before the Haslinger auction David. Do you still have it? Regards Thomas www.heuerheritage.co.uk
No mate, that wasn't me...sadly! I've never owned one. They're great value for vintage Heuers too (well, expect if you tried to buy the Calibre 12 version) dc
