Not sure if this is 'Vintage' but it's Heuer so...

I'd say it's vintage if you like it. It's certainly very distinctive and typical of 1980s Heuer/Tag Heuer during the quartz crisis.

"It clearly didn't sell well when new because there's so few of them around now"

I'd argue there was probably a reason for that, and there aren't that many more people that would find it an attractive watch now, even with the passing of time. Gold and black with white dial. Quartz with fixed bezel. Plus PVD watches never age that well. Not for me.

But I fully recognise that beauty is in the eye of holder. If you like that sort of thing, then I guess this is an attractive proposition at the right price. 馃榾

I'm almost tempted to buy it just because it's so gloriously awful. Those cross head screws in the bezel...

Neat, I was born in 1969 so my options are somewhat limited and potentially expensive!

Above all, remember kids, TAG ruined Heuer. They were doing just great before 1985.

Love the blue and red versions. Not sure I was aware there was a blue dial previously, but I may have to check it out.

I love the 1000 series. I'd like a full lume, or a green or coral PVD. 馃グ
