No worries. I'm the opposite- I far prefer the new one:
    - Old one is a more adventurous design/ new one is conservative
    - Old one is better built..new one doesn't look or feel cheap, but is noticeably lighter
    - New one is finished better- by that, I mean that it's a combination of brushed and polished steel- even the edges of the links are nicely polished. Old one is high-shine polished finish- bit like the Autavia bracelet

Anyway, main thing is we now have a choice

Good comparison! The fact that the new one is lighter is probably a positive to me, as the Monaco is already a heavy watch on it's own. Another point that I believe favors the new one is that it should be much easier to keep clean. The old style is surely a magnet for grime within its jubilee-ish squared off mini links.

Just noticed the bracelet has the 'TAG Heuer' shield on it.... bit of a quandry there for the old school conservationists.

Interesting Trivia. Project 99 which was a secret partnership between Heuer, Breitling, Dubois-Depraz & Buren to build the world’s first self winding chronograph was launch with two press conferences in New York & Geneva in the 3rd of March 1969. And this day was coincidentally a Monday

So #monacomonday should be a true and legit hashtag that we should start to use and promote

This is why I only plan to use it with my C12.

Is it not designed to go with a Tag Heuer branded dial? The watch itself is hijacking heritage for some johnny-come-lately ‘fake branding’, so why worry about the clasp? Might as well say Bremont. ::rimshot::

The old style has the words "TAG Heuer" on the clasp, which is less subtle than the shield. But that never stopped those who like it from using it with their "Heuer" branded C11s. While I personally prefer not to mix and match the logos, the modern Heuers are TAG Heuers after all, so no biggie. ;)

Oh really, when did the old bracelet come out then? I assumed it was pre-TAG?

According to DC, 2004. Of course one could source a true Heuer vintage bracelet from the '70s if intent on having the Heuer logo.

So was the bracelet a straight copy of the 70s one?

No, the 2004 was also a reinterpretation of the original bracelet, just as the 2020 is a reinterpretation of the vintage 70's follow up.

@Yago posted this pic of the vintage original. Note it has soft round links compared to the hard-edge squared off links of the 2004. Also the original is all brushed finished, while the 2004 has polished links to give it more bling factor.

@Hubert posted this pic of the second style made available in '70s, from which the 2020 bracelet got its inspiration.

For comparison again, @Calibre11 's pic of the 2004 and 2020 side by side.

Great sir @Mspeedster  There are two types of Monaco steel bracelets in the 70s as i have mentioned previously, click me! The “re-edition” bracelet of the first type came out 2004 then the “re-edition” of the second type came out 2020. So it’s difficult to point out which are we truly comparing  so we need to be more specific ;)

I got a call back from my AD, who stated the US price is $295 for the bracelet. Which is similar to the $421 AUD price DC mentioned (actually, slightly cheaper). That's a bargain in my book! :D My salesperson was also amazed at how reasonable the price is.

I was ready to place my order, but my AD is still waiting on a delivery ETA from TAG Heuer.

Considering every time I ask about any bracelet it's always £350, I should say it does sound reasonable.

I've decided I prefer the old bracelet too. It was like an item of jewelry all by itself. The new one is starting to make me think of chunky chips!
