Both photos from the team at Dive Into Watches

Like both of these- that Blue/ Black combo is the business....hope the blue on the hand matches the blue on the bezel.

The Chronograph at the top looks like a Titanium Carbide coated case.

I too like the black and blue combo, but it does look like the blue on the hand/dial markings doesn't quite match the bezel.

Not a huge fan of the chronogrpah as it feels a bit busy and cluttered but the diver gets it just right, especially like the blue ceramic

I've got several of the new range for a test drive at the moment- here are two of the Calibre 5 models- really difficult to take decent photos of the Phantom.

First reaction is very positive with two questions/ issues:
    1. The hour markers on the Calibre 5 feel about 20% too big and a little shiny- they work better on the Calibre 16
    2. How does this fit with the Aquaracer 500m Calibre 5?

Nice; can't wait for your reviews.

I agree, they look a bit oversized.

Good pics David. IMO, from these two, the phantom version is the one to have.

TAG Heuer has shown an official image of the Black/ Blue model:

Still can't work out the Blue- but certainly in the photo above it looks like a darker Blue for the bezel and then a lighter blue used for the stitching, text on the dial, second hand and minute markers

Looks good; prefer the darker color myself.

I'm not entirely sold on the new 300m design yet but I like that the coloured bezel one really is essentially the same watch as the steel bezel model.
The previous incarnation of the Aquaracer line was a little too varied and in need of a clean up; it having models that originated from three different past 2000 models.

Not a big fan of the logo shape motif but the black dial looks pretty sharp with the blue bezel.
Will have to side-by-side it with the blue on blue 500m when these hit my shores.

Can't wait for your reviews - I'm having troubles to select the right one (Phantom or JL version).
Have you tested the luminous hands?

Do you think it looks better when compared with the JL Version?

    Hi Rodrigo,
Out of these, I'd probably go with the black/blue model. That said, it's probably better to ask your dealer to have in-store the ones you are interested in, so that you can make selection in person. Pictures can be deceiving, so it's always better to see the actual watch before you make a final purchase. In any case, keep us posted on your selection. Cheers mate!

Thank you - I will go this weekend to a TAG Heuer official dealer in Basel (Swiss), hopefully they will have it available at the store.
I will keep you posted. Cheers, Rodrigo

good luck and enjoy the hunt! I'm going to go and seek these new Calibre 5 variants out I believe. I'd like to acquire a beach friendly piece and the classic divers aren't my taste but I'm really liking these pictures and can't wait to see an actual one.

D.C, thanks for the live photos of the black ARs. I was about to go for TAG F1 cal6 PVD for my first all-black watch, and no F1 in my collection as for now. But those ARs really haunt me, especially the limited edition WAY218B. Do you have the lume shots of those watches? How strong are the coating against bumps? Are the crown tubes still an issue? Cheers.

Is this any indication that it is coming out sooner than the planned October release or is this just a promotion to start getting orders in?

Good question; maybe David can find out with his contacts. My guess would be OCT.
