Yeah! That should all change with this new one. I just hope the design is not a let down, because the original Countach still looks incredible. Besides the handling, the story with the original Countach was that the driver would never need to look back in the rear-view mirror, so the poor visibility was not an issue. Hence the need to open the door and sit on-the-side to reverse.
Still the coolest car in the world ever. I'm sorry to all the Ferrari fans but if I had the funds to buy a supercar it would have to be a Lamborghini.
For me too. The Countach was all over my bedroom's walls growing up. While the Ferrari GTO was the superior driver' supercar, in looks the Countach earns the top spot.
I still have my 1/18 Bburago I got when I was 10. Saw one at a car show last year. White with red interior. Stunning! Hasn’t lost any of its appeal, a work of art, should be on permanent display at MoMA.
It appears it's to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original Countach. We'll see if it's a limited run. We'll know this weekend.
To me, the original Countach looks even more futuristic. The Sian taillights don't help. They should have opted for a perimeter angular design to mimic the original shapes.
Part of the problem is that the inspiration was the Countach "concept", and not the models that we all know and love.
