Here’s the answer:

TAG Heuer
“TAG Heuer is just a few days away from a very big announcement for our brand — thus, it was important that our teams focus entirely on this particular event. For this reason, we unfortunately can’t be part of this week presentations, but we will be in touch early February. I thank of course Stéphane Bianchi for his invitation and for still including us in this important moment - and I wish lot of success to Bvlgari, Hublot and Zenith.” - Frédéric Arnault, TAG Heuer CEO

Is it really significant news or just that new watch announcement that's been mentioned in another thread?

That would hardly constitute big news would it? Must be the Aquaracer...

Yes, but not if it instantly makes it £3000!
Also lets pray for a short power reserve. We want to hand wind daily

The latest 39mm Heuer Carrera to be released in February is not something I’d call big in anyway. Probably there is something more 😀

A new movement perhaps is something big 👍

You're probably right. Just that when a CEO says a big announcement, you never quite know if they're just hyping up a smaller announcement or if it's something genuinely big. I'd expect it is something bigger than a short-run limited edition, though. A 3-hand in-house movement and new Aquaracer line-up is probably an accurate guess. (I will put aside any fantasies about them dropping the "TAG" from "TAG Heuer" or introducing a full line-up of vintage classics 😀)

Maybe they managed to make the isograph work.
I wouldn't bet on it, since Guy Semon left LVMH last year. David has been working on an article about this.

Better yet they should split “Tag Heuer” and “HEUER”
Tag Heuer for modern development.
HEUER for old school flagship products.

Was my wishlist for a long time, but they've gotten better at making vintage re-editions with the two 160th pieces so I'm pacified.
