My new Heuer....

Thought I would start a thread where people can post photos and stories etc of their latest Vintage Heuer purchases.
If there is already a thread like this, sorry, please move my post to the original thread.
I'll start the ball rolling.
This is a big day for me as I crack 25 ::psy::either Tag or Heuer watches in my collection.
Been eyeing this one up for years and years and finally found one that is still "going" (they don't have the best reliability reputation) in original form and in good condition.
As you can see I hadn't set the Digi time yet to match the analogue.

Yes, I notice Ara in a previous post, you saying that the Verona was one of your favourite models.
A nice understated piece which evokes a sense of days gone by when a mobile phone was what happened when Dad lost his temper and threw the phone out the kitchen window.
Ahh the seventies...fun times fun times.

Just came in! Decimal with flyback.

A very nice find Yago.
I just love the white dial with simple black indices.
Very cool indeed.

New into the collection today.

Early example of the Heuer Bund 1550 SG
Always been on my radar , but after I managed to buy the Revolution Sinn Dark Star , I feel in love with the look and just had to secure the original.
It’s in pretty good condition other than one repair needed and I’m not talking about the obvious partial missing 3H circle.

Fantastic! The Dark Star was indeed an excellent release. As ever though, you just cannot beat the original.😀

How early is it? I've never seen that happen to a 3H! Radiation damage perhaps? 😁

Well not sure if it's seen combat 😉 But it is an early serial number so I would guess around the 1967-1968 mark.
The face has visible scratches using the loupe which has scratched off parts of the 3H.
Not sure how that would happen but it doesn't detract from the wearing experience at all.

New to the collection today.....
No Swiss precision here- just French flare.
Exquisite colours and a real retro look to the dial.
Looking to get a new strap to get it looking as cool as Gambbas

This one looks like it needs a Giuliano strap

Had to google that.
Are you talking about Giuliano Mazzuoli straps? He makes watches as well?

No, he doesn't have a website. You can find his contact details by searching through some of the other google results; he'll let you know what leathers he's got at the moment
