Monaco Wall Clocks

I'm sure many of you have seen the various versions of the Monaco wall clocks that AD's have had on their walls as promotional items. It seems most have fallen into private hands these days, and they show up on eBay from time to time. It also seems there are quite a few fake versions out there, too.

Does anyone know if a version replicating the CAW211P Calibre 11 Blue McQueen Monaco was ever done? One with a matte blue dial, horizontal indices and Heuer branding. I've never seen one, but it's odd that they wouldn't do one of that version.

If not, I'm considering purchasing one and having a graphic designer create a new 211P dial for it, and then replacing the movement with one that has a sweeping second hand, which these do not. Might be a fun little project.

Central sweeping seconds or sub dial?

Obviously a sweeping seconds subdial would be more product-correct, but these clocks are set up with a small, quartz movement in the middle, and the subdials are just images that don't move. I just thought it might be more impactful to have the chrono hand sweeping on a large clock, especially since it intersects the Monaco logo. We'll see....

Why not have two movements, one for the subdial and one for the main hands?

I suppose it's possible... Just a matter of how much effort I want to put into it. And whether there is physical space for all of those dials to exist together. One step at a time....

Back to the initial question, has anyone ever seen a Heuer-branded blue version?

There is a Walter White Blue one, but Ive never seen a McQueen...

I've seen the C11 Heuer Monaco Gulf. Haven't come across the McQueen, but never really tried looking for one. It's probably out there, however more likely to be 3rd party rather than a true TH AD display clock.

Not surprising... I also wouldn't be surprised if TAG Heuer themselves sourced them from similar places. Those wall clocks are not exactly an example of Swiss precision.

Those look like custom jobs.
They are custom, but this guy could probably make you one similar to the Gulf version shown.
(Hurry before the the internet police patrol swoops in and shuts him down.)

Here is mine, picked it up on ebay. Not sure authenticity wise but it looks great in the home office 😎

If you are putting it on the wall you should take it apart and turn the casing around 180° so TG is on the bottom not the sticker. Easily reversible if you want to display it on a shelf at a later date

They all appear to come that way.

They do
Just saying that they look better with the tag heuer print on the bottom if wall mounted rather than the cheap sticker and it's a 2 minute job
