Watch felt ‘strange’ on my wrist so after a bit of a look I find it tearing across the pin hole at the watch body, could have been nasty. Away from home so gonna call my AD to get them to order a new strap fc6468?, it might be with them by time we get back if still available. image.jpg image.jpg

Never seen that before but it does look a bit worn out everywhere tbh. Good that you spotted it before it became an accident.

Not what I expected from a genuine TH strap after a few years of intermittent wear.

Some nice patina to that strap, vintage collectors will go crazy over such nice damage and wear.

Glad you caught it before the watch took a trip to the floor

You usually see damage like that on the quick release straps when the grooves are not punched properly. Good spot. Hope.you get the new strap soon

That tear is nasty!
The FC6468 blue & red strap is a popular choice, but maybe get the bracelet too while you're at it?

I daily wore my Monaco Gulf Gray for about 5 years straight with this 40th Anniversary strap. The rubber backing was kind of looking like yours at the end, but the rest of the strap was/is still in good shape.

AD is checking straps availability and calling back, when I do get something I’ll ask the manager if he thinks it’s appropriate wear and maybe contact TH, no cheek, no chance?
Any other part no’s I should consider anyone, the fc 6468 May not be available.

You've had that strap now for what, at least 3+ years? While I don't think it's normal to get a tear like that, I imagine TH might claim it was user induced, like you wore it too tightly or caught it on the edge of something sharp etc. But it never hurts to ask. :whistling:

As for other options, I'm partial to the H02 Monaco Gulf's strap (FC6494) on my McQueen, thanks to @McBeardy pioneering that combo.
But if you're worried about wear & tear, I highly recommend the bracelet as well.

Can't you wear its OEM black rally strap while you wait for the new one to come in?

TAG usually quotes 8 weeks on all special order straps, like the Monaco 50th's, but in my experience they usually come in quicker than that.
