SteveP, ANO (Calibre 11 tag not known) and I are entrants for that. Anyone else?

Sorry, a GTG. Saturday seems a good option.

My travel plans suck!! I'm unfortunately in Europe only the following week otherwise would certainly have tried to attend 馃檨

Even had to turn down an invite from Tag Heuer to join them in Geneve for the Grand Prix de l鈥橦orlogerie de Gen猫ve on the 8th! fingers crossed they feel like inviting me another year!

Hope you all enjoy....I'm not jealous 馃が

My travel plans suck!! 馃が

Yeah, travel plans are not arranged to the flieger's advantage normally. I once needed to get back to the UK urgently to defend a championship position (despite the work I was paid for ....) and found a flight from Montreal though Gander and Prestwick. At that time a route less traveled. Worked through 馃榾

That is a very important question.....a good puzzle to solve.

I'd have answered the question easily as tomorrow I'll have a prototype Jack Heuer Autavia on my wrist for a few weeks 馃槨

I will have the Carrera I've worn since 1970.

But on that bracelet only since 1975.

Steve and I are planning to get there around midday on Saturday. Brian does that overlap with your plans? And anyone else is welcome too of course.

But in mainline stations and on the underground I'll be wearing a beaten-up Seiko.

Its only value is that it persuaded me that I could wear a watch over 36mm in size

..... I now go to 38mm.

Looking forward to the report back!

A great time was had by all, those watches on sale are astounding. The catalogue is a stunning production too.

It was great to meet Brian & Steve, and here's what we brought

The big surprise for me was how good a Paul Newman looks in real life, I've not really liked them before. But if I was going to steal one watch from those on display (cannot afford to buy them) it would be a pre-Daytona chrono.

Great to meet you too. Thanks to Paul for displaying and showing us various pieces. The 3 stars of the show are just that.

Apologies for the crappy Iphone pics.

Awesome photos-it鈥檚 like going back in time to a Heuer dealer in the 1960s/ 70s. But with 2017 prices 馃槈

Brian/Mike-it was great to see you and I had a fantastic couple of hours.
It was refreshing to be able to talk face to face about GMT complications, cal 15s, 1st execution all-lume hands etc without the other party glazing over! I'm grateful I was able to try on your watches too-they really are superb pieces!
The display itself was awesome, not just amazing pieces but amazing condition too-the auction is going to be VERY exciting to follow!

Absolutely-thanks to Paul and Virginie from Phillips for their help-nothing was too much trouble and, as Paul said, we could have tried them ALL on if we wished-that was tempting but asking for trouble too methinks!
Roll on November......!

Sorry, we were out before 2pm. We understood you wouldn't be there until quite some time later. Had I known beforehand you would be along I would have brought my copy of the Carrera book and waited ...

... an author of motor-racing books I'm acquainted with says that it is the unsigned books of his that are the rare ones!

Instead I went to take a look at a computer I used in the early '70s and got caught up in the Exhibition Road kerfuffle.

Best,

Mike
