    Good news from WEC!
Toyota will be the only factory team in LMP1, but there might be 10 LMP1 participants! Rebellion has moved from LMP2, Oreca is building two cars. Drivers: André Lotterer (our man from Duisburg), Neel Jani and Bruno Senna. Let‘s see what DragonSpeed, Bycolles etc. can achieve.

Boy, Toyota is pretty much damned if they do, damned if they don't. If they win Le Mans, it'll be because there was no factory competition (and privateer LMP1 teams don't have very good history of results). And if they lose, they'll have lost to privateers...

Unfortunately there will be no WEC race in Germany this year (punishment for the withdrawal of Porsche?). But Spa-Francorchamps (May 5th) is an alternative. And within reach. The south of France is a beautiful place on earth, but from my home to Paul Ricard there are 1.300 kilometers to go. In this case endurance would already start on the highway....

Perhaps he should not have missed the Prologue...

Strange things happened at Spa: Porsche arrived with a modified 919 hybrid, called the 919 hybrid „tribute“. 1.200 HP and tons of downforce, as André Lotterer described on Instagram. Officially they wanted to be better than the Formula 1 pole, what they achieved. Pure accident, that this happened nearly in parallel to the Prologue and about one month before the WEC race at Spa.
But sorry boys, you are late now. This season I will keep my fingers crossed for Rebellion...

LOL not that hard to lap cars when every other car in the race is in a lower class than you

Sure, but given the differential in speed, it's arguably more error prone than trying to pass cars of similar performance. The opportunity for being caught out looks immense. Looks like you need to be concentrating 100% all the time. Now add in night time driving and you're tired at the end of a stint... :)

Now imagine doing that with a competitor hot on your tail, and consider how much more difficult that would be
