Isn't it about time we had a thread dedicated to ladies watches? Just in case a lady turns up here one day and is scared off by the sausage fest that is the THF Forums? I know some ladies wear 'proper' watches, like 39mm Carreras and Datejusts, but TAG Heuer (and other brands) do actually make watches specifically for ladies, or perhaps we should say for the smaller wristed person. (Jim Dollares) So, to kick off, I give you this rather spiffy looking Aquaracer WAF131AG Caribbean Limited Edition.
Well I might keep an eye on this thread too. I am frequently told my preference for 36-38mm watches marks me out as a girl. But I wholeheartedly agree it's a good thing that as a forum we are welcoming to everyone.
I thought the 37mm were unisex? But yeah, some of them are girly for sure... I'd still wear them. Except the black quartz one. The polished case makes it seem a bit effeminate somehow. More so than a white dial/strap with diamonds
Are we including older models? I haven't bought her a 28mm yet, but my other half still loves her 32mm Orange dialed 1000 (980.016). So far I've still failed to find a proper jubilee strap for it though.
It does - she just finds (like me) that the Tropics get a little sticky in hot weather. (and she'd prefer a finer range of adjustment too)
This is what happens when you have a bunch of dudes posting and commenting on ladies watches. Case in point: Left - a watch I chose as a birthday gift for my wife many years ago. Right - A watch she chose for herself as my gift to her for a special anniversary. My wife loves diamonds (and Leopard prints). Diamonds are a girls best friend.
It's a real beauty that one. As for diamonds, I'm not convinced they're every girl's best friend. My ex was always adamant she didn't want anything too blingy on her watches - strictly no diamonds or mother of pearl. Or maybe it was just her!
Well, you know... we can't tar all ladies with the same brush, but Pitfitter's wife said she'd rather have lume than diamonds. I've never known a woman who didn't like diamonds though.
