Unless that watch is yours and has a lot of sentimental value, you are better off buying a new one. There is no guarantee that that watch is even salvageable

Not a vintage nor special edition, and literally everything on it will have to be replaced.

You can find very decent ones in perfect working condition in the 2K USD range.

 

Anyone who decides to buy it has to keep in mind that it will take a long time to collect all the parts that need replacement at the right cost... but if you like this kind of projects it can be nice.

 

Well, this is a modern Monaco, so parts would be very easy to come by - you'd just send it to TAG and they'd return it to you looking like new. However, the cost for that would probably be at least equal to the cost for a perfectly wearable used modern Monaco, so this one's not worth the trouble.

 

Yes, this is the fastest and most expensive way of sourcing parts... If you want to start a "project", you need to look for the cheapest sources, you will need a long time to find all the components (some are easy, like the bezel or the glass, but some are not easy at all) and in the end you will have to put all parts together, by yourself or with the help of your watchmaker.
If you take it to your dealer and then wait 3 months for your new Monaco, it's no fun!
