Identification of this band?

Recently acquired this band, a vintage stainless Heuer band. It has a 18mm lug at each end and a bead blasted finish. Looking to acquire matching end pieces once I am able to figure out what it is. Any ideas? Thanks!

2000 series.

272.006 or 273.006 would be the immediate models I can think of, that it would have been original fit on. It would work and not look out of place on the 974.006 & 973.206 either, although not the original bracelet. There maybe other 2000’s, but not sure, and those mentioned have matte finish casings and 18mm lugs, as per below catalogue page.

Here’s my 272.006

And my 274.006 where I expect your bracelet would also work on looks wise.

Thanks so much! That does look like a match. I got the band for 30$, looks like I may have gotten quite the deal.

Also, can you send me pictures of your end pieces? Hope that wouldn't be too much of a hassle for you. It would help a lot! Thanks!

Can You give us Your reason and how sure You are?
Why it does not have Your trust? The finish may be someone’s idea and preference and applied
To a genuine Vintage Heuer Bracelet. Though not my cup of tea.

What makes you think it’s fake exactly?

The only doubt I have looking at it again is the roll pins used for removing links, but never looked at those that closely on mine before. If I’m critical now those should maybe be just straight pins rather than the roll type pins yours has.

The oyster style is correct though and the clasp is say is 100% correct. There was no market for faking Heuer clasps back in the 80’s when the 2000 series was only Heuer for a few years, and today no market for it, unlike a buckle that can be easily swapped to straps.

I’m abroad at the moment and don’t have either of my 2000’s with me, but will have a look when I’m back a bit closer.

Even so, the clasp is worth the money and see no real issue with it being on that bracelet personally as its appearance is that of the original.

If you’re not happy with it still then I’d happily buy the clasp from you, as need a replacement.

Yea I noticed the extra link pins photographed weird compared with how the sandwich style look like a flat tip screw head. I’m no help, more info maybe.?

One thing that may be a give away is that often stampings are not deep and crisp. Try observing with a good light and maybe a loop, against other Heuer stamping on the INSIDE of the clasp.
I doubt a genuine clasp would be added to a fake bracelet.

The finish is as I would expect and is that typical matted finish of the 2000 series. The clasp is definitely genuine as far as I am concerned and what is not unreasonable to think is someone mated it to a president (not Oyster I’m thinking) bracelet they found.

I’d certainly not call it a fake and at worst a franken, but that’s not a big issue in my eyes when it comes to the bracelet.

There have certainly been people fit the president style bracelets on to Heuer 1000 divers in recent years.

So if you look closely at the clasp, you notice that the heuer insignia is not centered properly or in correct proportion, compared to my original clasp that I have, the heuer logo seems too large and is not positioned on the correct area, especially from left to right. The clasp is also shorter and stouter. It also much too light of a weight and dosen't seem to actually fit any of the heuers I own even with a 20mm lug.

Additionally, when I accused the seller of selling me a fake band, he refunded me immediately. Suspicious don't you think?
