    Hello friends!

I was with a couple of watch buddies a few days ago and one of them brought a Kentucky, which needed a new battery...

We all had a try at it with the right tools, the silicone bowl in case it was a screwed on case back, a proper watchmakers knife to see if we could pop it open, tried to unscrew the two screws on the top thinking that maybe it would be the secret lock, etc...

    We all miserably failed:D

Yes we could bring it to a watchmaker but frankly there must be something quite obvious and easy to fix that we're missing...

Thanks in advance for your kind help,

    best regards,

    Paul

The Quartz casebacks for the Kentucky should be press-fit, and removable with a bench knife/caseback tool. However, if the caseback has been rotated when fitted, the lip may not be readily visible. You may have to opt for a razor blade from the side to begin creating a gap.
