I've never become a fan of the 'starfish' myself-it looks all OK from what I can tell though. Not sure on the bezel dots but assume they're just there as an 'in between' the minute counters. If I remember they are/were lumed as were the bezrel numbers too.

Thanks so much. I really like the old automatic Heuer diver.

But afraid of the authenticity myself so i need to do homework here and there. Thanks 馃憤

I remember Stewart did a write up on these some years ago-
TAG Heuer Super Professional 840.006 | Heuerville (wordpress.com)

There are lots of examples for comparison online too. Good luck if you go for it Otto!

Yes ! i came to that article as well. Very nice article. Thank for pointing it out as well.

I really like the watch but i am battling against the idea of Cash on Delivery (CoD) which i requested myself because i want to see first hand the condition of the watch. But i am super worried about the virus etc.

Wish me luck hope it can go through.

is it pure gold though ?
Owning a few 844.006, these are gold plated. Considering it is a sports, diving watch pure gold would not have been a right material for its purpose. Also, no one has the production data of these watches, but I see comparably more stocks/sales listings in Japan per 844.006(gold ones).
