Found these great photos showing the head of Heuer's timing business Jean Campiche hard at work at various Grand Prix in the 1970s operating the Heuer timing equipment. First the shots from the 1970s and then followed by photos of the equipment taken in the last couple of years.

How cool is that metal suitcase?!?

    Dear all,

Had the opportunity to interview Jean Campiche about his life, impact of technology in timekeeping, the centigraph, people he met and other things. It's a quite long document but should interest you :

To illustrate the Centigraph chapter, few pictures of this thread was used because had not found better than this ones. Credit to the forum is mentionned at the bottom of the page. Said me if it's ok.

Be glad to have your feedback and don't hesitate to signal errors if you find any.

Does anyone have a rough estimate on what a fair price is for a Heuer Centigraph and case is? Is $1000 to $1500 USD in the ballpark?

Have an opportunity to buy one and just trying to determine what to offer since these rarely are for sale and are really only for historical/display purposes...
