So I recently added a nice condition first execution 1153s to the collection and was comparing it to the second execution 1153n that I’ve had for awhile and noticed that the crown is a bit more pronounced on the first execution. So naturally I started combing through every picture of an 1153 I could find and it looks like the first execution 1153 came with a slightly thicker crown which then transitioned during the second execution to a slightly thinner crown.....or just replacement crowns. What do you guys think? Don't know, but crowns are regularly replaced during routine servicing, so that would be my guess. I can also imagine there were slight differences during the lifetime of these models as well, though, so who knows?

Agree with this. But also my first instinct is that your 1153s crown is too thick and not original. As Imagwai says thought they get changed all the time-half of mine probably aren't correct! If it really bothered you though I could try and get a measurement and you could source one....
    Best, Steve

ps congrats on the purchase-lovely example-what sort of serial does it have?

Thanks! I’m pretty happy with the condition! The serial is in the 147xxx range.
