Heuer Autavia 1163 GMT Mark I?

I own a Heuer Autavia 1163 GMT that belonged to a Spanish rally driver The Late Mr. Julio Gargallo and was gifted to me by him in 2005.

From the information I've gathered in the internet, looks like a Mark I but with a Mark II bezel insert that has faded into a ghostly appearance. Mr. Gargallo was a keen watch collector so I wonder if this bezel was a factory replacement at service early on its lifetime.

I would love to get information from this expert forum in order to know exactly what I have in terms of originality.

although pictures on the wrist from Julio Gargallo couldn't be found for me the story was true

especially because the reason for the gift was (i became these informations later in context with
the sale of this watch):

the help with purchasing an original Cooper Monaco

and it was possible to check, that Julio Gargallo owned and later sold by auction such a really rare car
(perhabs this is easier to verify than the red needles-story 😄😁😆😅)

the real reason for me to buy the watch was
the faded bezel i loved and love so much

but i also love watches with a special background story
