Hi everyone,

I recently inherited this late 70's Heuer 844 Monnin from my dad. I'm planning to service the watch, but it's already in excellent condition given its age (it's literally been in storage for the past 30 years). I wanted to ask the experts here what the value might be? Everything is original. Thanks so much.

Don't send it to TAG for servicing - they will likely change parts. Find a trustworthy watchmaker by searching the web. There's one guy who specializes in the old Heuer divers but can't remember his name.

Speaking about original parts… Isn’t that a first generation handset with a second generation bezel insert? Or maybe I’m mixing up automatic and quartz?

It seems like you still haven't heard any answers you are looking for.
To me, the watch is in pristine and NOS condition with original case.
Given the multiple 844 bidding experience I had at ebay, it seems to be value at 3K - 5K range (USD).

Best,
