Hello! I’m seeking information about this Pre-Tag Heuer 1000 professional watch with reference number 980.026. When researching this reference number, I’ve only found this model in black PVD. However, the seller claims that a small number of 980.026 models were produced in stainless steel instead of black PVD and considers these as a rare find. I did come across a YouTube short video, where the creator was showing the same 980.026 watch in stainless steel. Can anyone confirm this or provide more details?

Most likely, it's a 980.013 that's had its case-back cover switched.

All the Heuer catalogues show the 980.026 as an all black PVD model. This is from the 1983-1984 catalogue. Same reference numbers continued with TAG Heuer as well.
