Hey Rob, how are you holding up today? The emotional devistation of not buying a watch is among life's toughest things. Hang in there and know that we are all here for you.

I bought my cherry red Carrera there…for under retail 😀

If you’re in Blighty, you can view them from any of the chain.

Well... there was a glimmer of hope, but it died today. I contacted H&T about the GC at the top of the post and they said it wasn't yet sold and was waiting a viewing in-branch. Now it doesn't say RESERVED any more it says SOLD OUT, so that's the end of that. I cannot believe someone picked up that watch at that price. I remember them in Bicester in 2017 for £5750!

It’s worth watching that some of the reserved ones come back out. I got a trendy Bell & Ross Black Camo that way. Their website updates pretty much every day.

And FWIW, I think that GC was long gone. At least I never saw it on their own site.

They said it was en route to a shop for viewing and if it sold the marking would change from Reserved to Sold Out, as it has. It takes 3-5 days to reach the store then the customer has 6 days to visit the store. I remember seeing it on the site at fully price, well £2500, and I should have bought it then. Can't honestly believe they had to discount a Calibre 36 watch like that to sell it - but then the sale doesn't seem to be going that well, there's 60 more watches on there now than when the sale started, despite the crazy prices.

I’ve been following the site for a while. This is just something they do like every three months. It’s just a revenue generation exercise, not to move on any aged stock. They discount all of it, even Rolexes. And it’s also clear people snipe some items, as they get bought almost as soon as they go on sale, having not moved for ages. For example, they had a blue dial Carrera Sport on bracelet that had been there for a while that got sold almost straight away on the sale. Tbh, I did the same with my Bell & Ross, which was just insane for a ceramic case watch.

Yeah I must admit I've seen things on there before and thought 'I'll wait for the sale'.... it's counterproductive really. Much better to discount individual items depending on saleability. But for sure if you get in quick you can snag a bargain.
