Well they just say that watches are in the stores and they can be sold over the counter and the system not updated. What annoys me is that I knew it was being sent to a branch for viewing, but I signed up to be notified if the watch / another one became available. Then the watch changed from Reserved to Sold Out, and so I thought okay the guy who went to look at it bought it. But then they sent me an email saying the watch was available and was back on the website, so I bought it straight away... I just don't get what went on. Did the guy buy it? Did he not buy it and someone else beat me to it? I don't know.
Sales assistants not talking too each other or updating the system correctly, happened in the garage, someone would complete a sale and forget/not bother marking it sold creating, eh, discord among the team.
I don’t think it helps they’re not remotely watch specialists. It feels like something they’re doing just to boost revenue. Hence selling watches often way below market price. And the stock control reflects that this is still just a very large pawn broker. I bought a Chopard that was never online, and nearly an Omega which was the same. It’s far from watchfinder, but also far from their prices.
