Sure there were at least two different racing overalls, because there are also many pictures showing the Heuer logo and the Michael Delaney name, including the cover of my Blu-Ray copy of the movie, and -for sure- not all these pictures are touched
In the movie, Steve's character just wore one racing suit, the one with the double blue & orange-red vertical stripe. The other racing overall that is often seen is not the movie outfit, it's Steve's personal racing suit, as he used to compete professionally in races. His personal suit did not have a Heuer & Firestone patch, or the double Gulf stripe. It had "Steve McQueen", not his character "Michael Delaney" on it.
