Hi guys, just wanted to give you a heads up that we'll be doing some work on the server and configuration for the next couple of hours as its off peak time so if you notice some hiccups or issues that'll be the reason why.

It's a small but important change- the move to "https" and SSL encryption will help protect everyone's username and passwords as you enter them here on the site. There are some well-known watch forums that have had major problems with security and hacking of passwords, and while no-one is immune from attack, the work that @dsio is doing will certainly help.

Hi guys we're testing this again with some less aggressive settings, its rather important that we get this to work for google optimisation reasons due to the number of images on the forum making the page bounce around a lot on load so let us know if the attachment or thread creation bug re-appears.

Noticing that the site is quite slow to react and load for me this evening. Not sure if it might be related to the performance tuning work? Or is it just me? Posting seems OK, just some delay on page loading.

EDIT: Noticing the same on OF. All other websites seem fine to me.

Are you still noticing this now? It’s pretty quick for me atm but we were doing some work this morning

Working much better now.. looks like it's back to normal speed loading. Was slow earlier this morning.
