Dropped my watch... now running fast

My autavia seems to be gaining about a minute a day after I dropped it on the floor.

No sign of any damage - I'm assuming/hoping it just needs some fine adjustment? Is this something a dealer can do or will it need to go to tag?

Sounds like you might have broken the mainspring or something, I'd get it looked at. It will probably have to go to TAG, and spend ~3 months in Switzerland if my experience for a very simple chrono hand adjustment on my C11 LE Siffert is anything to go by.

They are when they're well-made and you've trained your service centers on how to fix them....

Is this likely to be covered by the warrantee in your experience?

Tag are generally pretty good with warranty coverage, just very slow sorting it out.

Probably not for a dropped watch unfortunately, unless there's language in the warranty about "the spring will survive if dropped" etc, which I highly doubt

Well I'll take it along to a dealer and play dumb. And maybe buy a g shock馃槵

I'm sure TAGs Facebook marketing implies something about their watches not cracking under pressure? One of their adverts earlier this year actually said the aquaracer was life proof, which is interesting because there is no vibration resistance built in.

TAG are pretty good with warranty claims thou, just really slow.

I'd be surprised if upon inspection TAG doesn't say that the watch was apparently dropped and require payment for the repairs. I'm interested in hearing how this works out. I had a similar situation with my wife's Tudor. It came back from a repair, a week later it exhibited the same behavior as before the repair. I returned it and was told it had been dropped and that if it happened again they wouldn't cover it. It hadn't been dropped. IMHO the botched the original repair. They did fix the watch the second time for free.
