Yeah, I DO love the original strap - no question! I seem to be around water so much on a daily basis that I'm a little reluctant to wear any of my watches (all dive watches until the Monaco, for the record) on leather. I tried my Monaco on a rally rubber strap with deployant clasp - it was "just okay"...
Congrats on the Monaco France Edition @TheGanzman! That is an awesome watch! I prefer it on its original strap. But if I were to use a bracelet, I personally would go with the TH OEM bracelet for the Monaco.

BTW, are you the same "Ganzman" (aka Joe Ganzler) who created this custom Dark Lord tribute? If so, I followed your creation with high interest when you going through the process about a decade or so ago.

Yep, that's me! Before I bought this Monaco, I thought REAL hard about trying to buy that one back. I'm not able to A-B them both "in the metal" obviously, but from where *I* sit now, I believe I like this new one better...
Obviously, I've always (since I was a little kid, for that matter) been an "outlier"; I especially don't like implicit or explicit "rules" regarding watches/straps/bracelets. I certainly don't expect everyone to like the Strapcode Rollball on this Monaco. I'll likely buy a TAG-Heuer bracelet for this one down the road, but honestly, the watch (and the $100 Strapcode Rollball) tapped me OUT $-wise, LOL. I'll prolly have to sell a watch or 3 before I can buy the OEM bracelet...

Did you ever consider getting the new Titanium Monaco Dark Lord (released last year)?

I think France edition is cooler, but the new DL ain't too shabby either.

That one JUST doesn't work for me; not a fan of the "black gravel" treatment on the dial, don't care for the gold hands, don't like the second hand above the date window, don't like the lack of a perimeter around the date window...and finally, I GREATLY prefer seeing just "Heuer" on my Monaco - to the point that I can confidently say that I will NOT own a TAG Heuer watch with anything but the Heuer-only logo...
I thought REAL hard about the Titane, and if I DO buy another TAG-Heuer, that'll be the one. Of course, if/when I DO, I'll piss a whole bunch of purists off by buying an aftermarket titanium bracelet for THAT one, LOL...

If I remember correctly, the Monaco OEM bracelet is not prohibitively expensive… Something like 250 CHF at launch. Not sur what the current price is, though.

I've got 3-4 of them bookmarked; they're all in the ~US$800.00 range...

What do you mean bookmarked? Just buy new from AD, pretty sure cheaper than 800 dollah

When the bracelet was released in 2020, I was quoted $295 USD by my AD. It seems to have gone up a bit in price. Kind of kick myself for not getting one now. But I'd be very surprised if you can't get it for less than $800 from an AD.

Looks pretty good with a black dial if you ask me.

Agreed! I'm sure there's one in my future; the quick-release spring bars on the Strapcode Rollball II making R&R'ing it a piece of cake...

There’s one in MeadowHell Sheffield too, tried it on, feels very different to my McQueen , very nice , the titanium is way lighter. Nice watch but I don’t think I’d be paying list for one

What lake exactly are we talking about?

BTW: The TH.com webmaster seems to somehow have messed up reference no., photo and description of the Monaco bracelet… But this is what I get in France when searching for reference BA0644:

And yes - I get that my screenshot says BA0646, but I still think that, directionally, this price sounds about right.

Erm Lakeside Shopping Centre West Thurrock.

Last time I check I was quoted £350ish for the bracelet.

Unsure how it would look on the McQueen personally.
