Hi all, Received disappointing news from Tag/Heuer vintage that my Professional 1000 980.031 was not to be repaired by them because they do not have the parts and because it’s a quartz watch. I’d still like to replace/restore the bracelet and get the face cleaned up. Not looking for mint, but maybe just a bit more suitable for everyday wear. Not really sure of my next step. Any help/advice/suggestions much appreciated. Mac

There are various options but probably the ones I set out are a first port of call- https://forums.calibre11.com/thread...stions-here-please.33953/page-19#post-1793012 Alternatively you could hunt for a replacement case, try and find a donor dial from another .031L or a .113L. You could also try and find a good bracelet but I think you'd struggle a lot more with that so getting it recoated may be the best option. As I say, you could do everything relatively easily but not the dial....
The bracelet is possible (anything is possible), but it will be expensive and a fiddly job. Your other option would be to try and find one in better condition and then flip this one- you might find that this upgrade cost is less than the cost of restoring your watch...but what you save in $ you will have to spend in patience!
