    Hey everyone!

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've always had a soft spot for the 980.XXX series of divers... but never found one in a condition that I was happy enough to buy... until last week when I snagged this 980.013N.

It came on a standard bracelet... but I'm a big fan of these on NATO/Zulu straps.

    So. Much. Glow.

Hey @tyrantlizardrex welcome and I'm pleased that you've turned from lurker to poster ;)

That one is in remarkable condition! Where did you find it?

And yes, I agree with you on the NATO option for these...looks great.

Thanks! It was on eBay, here in the UK... a little negotiation on price, but the right side of budget, boxed, with original strap, in dirty, but good condition.

I'll be sending it to SwissTec for a deep clean, battery and reseal (which I understand means a new crown) - as soon as I have the stash of Omegas back from their parent company.

I'm now stuck looking for other 980.XXX models... the deep dive... drool.

No need for a new crown, unless it is damaged, the rubber gasket (o-ring) inside can be taken out and a new one installed in.

Thanks for the heads up - I'll make sure to ask for a gasket, rather than a crown. This one looks practically new.
