Does anyone know what type of pin is attached on the compression end of the clasp (circled)?

I've got a new strap which is thicker than normal and just won't go through. I'm thinking of removing the pin and the shield-shaped keeper so that I can get the strap installed.

It could be that you're trapped between a rock and a hard place: 3mm thick strap end but only 2mm of stamp height in the clasp...

What's the clasp's part number? One can easily look up for wich strap height it is designed.

Oh - and I probably wouldn't bother dismantling the clasp... If it is the culprit, just sell it and get the right one anew.

Do NOT take apart that clasp. It is not the right clasp for the strap. Period. Sorry man.

I got a new custom exotic strap made which came out a bit thicker than needed. Now I've managed to force it into the clasp somehow.

I mean, if it works, it works. Were you able to bend it back and close it? I've had this exactly issue. I assume you like the specific design of the logo on the clasp huh/
