Nice, but I hoped they were going to do a full case refurb. That's always the most satisfying bit about watching these videos 馃榾

Good to see him confirm what we discussed recently. Chronograph module is disposable and put in the trash and replaced with a brand new one 馃憤

Hehe no I suppose it would have to be an integrated chronograph movement for that to be true in reality

Anyone know if those bracelets would fit the goldfish bowl 39mm Carreras case too?

Do they not strip down, refurbish and put back in a different watch, in order to cut the turnaround time on servicing the watch? Or does it really go in the bin?

I have this watch, CV2113 and the 160th, and the bracelet does not fit on it. The pin holes for the end links are of a bit. It comes close to fitting. Mocked up, it looks good on the watch. If my curiosity persists I will buy some end links to modify and try.

I've been told by watchmakers working for the Tag service center here that Tag throws them away, too costly to service so more efficient and cheaper for them to just put in a brand new. Someone else said in the other discussion that most watchmakers will never service a module, just replace it.

A bit like when if there are issues with a sellita 200/300 or ETA 2824 still under warranty often you see Tag just replacing the whole movemenet. Much cheaper than taking the whole thing apart etc.

My watchmaker has serviced my CV2114. Nothing thrown away.
He specializes in chronographs.

Did he specifically confirm that the module was serviced and not replaced? Or did he just "service it" and you payed for a service? I have never owned a modular chrono but I cant imagine that Tag and others would specify on the bill that "module put in trash" rather just state that full service has been replaced and specify some parts such as crown and hands. But someone who has more experience with having their watches services please teach me 馃榾
